Pop-Up Cinderella Exhibition Opening in Leicester Square

Disney fans up and down the country are biting their fingers waiting for the re-make of Cinderella to be released later this month and now we’ve been given another treat to keep us entertained until we can line up at our local cinema!

This exhibition will take you beyond the screen and teach you about how the film was made, including how the gorgeous costumes were designed! You will have a chance to look through five different zones including a few that revolve around some of the memorable scenes in the film including Fairy Godmother’s transformation and the Grand Ballroom.

And also, since the animated version of Cinderella is celebrating it’s 65th anniversary this year, there will be a Cinderella Heritage gallery that features pieces that look back through the history of the movie and a Modern Day Princess gallery.

Swarovski had a huge part to play in the movie, supplying over 1.7million crystals for the costumes and props. Even the glass slippers were made of pure crystal. I wonder how much those would cost…anyone want to go halves? And so these pieces will be on show in the ‘Behind the Magic’ portion of the exhibition.

You’ll also be able to sigh and gasp over 100 props from the movie and over 30 costumes! If there’s a dress missing, it was probably me. Sorry.

The cherry on top of this fairy tale cake is that the exhibition is free, but you best be quick applying for complimentary tickets!

The exhibition will be running from the 21st of March to the 31st of March.

Frozen Fever and Cinderella will be released last this month on the 27th.
