If you’re anything like me, you want to take care of your skin, keep yourself looking great and obviously feeling great but when you look at your friends/families endless towers of potions, lotions and creams, you just internally sigh and think ‘ah well, I do enough in the shower.’
But I have found a couple of little tricks to make it easy for you to get great results with minimal effort. Little movement is required, I do apologise and I feel the same but the results will be worth it.
This week, I’m going to talk about the greatness of oats.
Oats have been used as far back as the Egyptians to get gorgeous skin and you know..they were all gorgy.
Oats are great for your skin, they moisturise and exfoliate without being too harsh to give you silky smooth, plump looking skin and all you need is a handful of oats and some warm water, or cold water, whatever floats your boat.
All you need to do is hold the oats in your hand, squeeze your hand into a fist, securing the oats and put your fist under a running tap so the oats will get all nice and squishy without them running away down the drain.
When the oats have turned into a nice squishy ball in your hand, use your other hand to rub some more water into them and then you can start rubbing it into your face.
It’s going to be a little bit messy with oat remnants falling off all over the place but make sure you rub the oats all over your face, especially in the nooks of your nose and under your lips.
Leave it for 10-15 minutes, when the oats start to stiffen like a face mask should, then wash them off.
Your skin should feel like angels.
You can then put on a moisturiser to truly lock in the goodness.
The main effort you’ll have to make during this trick is the the cleaning up, apologies.
Do this every day if you want to, or whenever you feel like you should give your skin a good pampering!
